Moreover, it enables 24-hour operation, unattended and uninterrupted, improving work continuity, thereby greatly improving the unmanned and intelligent level in open mining and perforation process.
The unmanned mining truck has been commissioned in the Open Mining Project of Inner Mongolia Jinzhong Mining Co., Ltd., Open Mining Project for Zijin Mountain Gold-Copper Mine, and Zhunuo Copper Mine Project of Xizang Xianglong Mining Co., Ltd. With advanced rain and fog sensing technology, the intelligent truck maintains stable and efficient operation even under complex and changeable climatic conditions. Relying on the precise control system, it achieves the centimeter-level parking accuracy, which greatly improves the unloading safety and efficiency.
Among them, the Open Mining Project for Zijin Mountain Gold-Copper Mine was included in 2024 Artificial Intelligence Development Project of Fujian Province.
Electric mining truck has been fully adopted in Open Mining Project for Zijin Mountain Gold-Copper Mine, Open Mining Project of Sawaya'erdun Gold Mine and Wuqia Open Mining Project in Xinjiang. Based on domestic mature technical experience, overseas electric mining truck projects, such as Rosebel Gold Mine in Suriname and VK and MS Mines in Serbia, have been gradually implemented.
Among them, Battery Swapping Project of Electric Mining Truck for Open Mining in Wuqia witnesses the first substation with side battery swapping technology in China, as well as the substation with the largest battery capacity of a single vehicle (average battery capacity per vehicle: 770 kWh). After the construction, the operating environment requirements below an altitude of 5,500 m and with a temperature range of -40°C to 40°C can be met. The battery swapping station is deeply integrated with the cutting-edge AI technologies such as automatic guidance, intelligent identification, and efficient disassembly and assembly, to build an efficient and intelligent power exchange system, which meets the swapping needs of about 180 90-ton electric mine trucks each day. The average swapping time of each truck is only 4 min, and 24-hour uninterrupted and automatic swapping is achieved. It is expected to reduce carbon emissions by about 10,000 t per year and ensure that more than 60 electric mining trucks operate all day. The unit transportation energy consumption cost of the electric mining truck is only a quarter of that of the diesel mining truck.
The first battery swapping station supporting double-sided 528-kWh battery swapping in Fujian Province, and the battery swapping station for the Open Mining Project of Zijin Mountain Gold-Copper Mine satisfy the needs of 33 wide-body mining trucks with a load capacity of 70 t, with the single swapping time of less than 5 min.
By virtue of the low-cost LNG and the energy recovery technology, the fuel cost is reduced by 35-45% compared with the diesel truck. In addition, the truck is featured with the long endurance (5-min refueling offers a range of 150 km), and its requirements for long haul distance and heavy load can be met in the gas-rich area.
